Vintage cast aluminium model of a WW2 Royal Navy submarine

This elegant solid metal model is a representation of the first series of the T- class submarine from the late 1930’s such as HMS Tribune, Thetis/Thunderbolt.

The T class was one of the key submarines used by the Royal Navy in WW2. After the war they underwent speed and noice reduction conversions so that they continued in service for several decades.

The model dates to 1940’s/1950’s.

A very attractive desk model.
