Vintage Track Rail Race Car

A fabulous, super rare scratchbuilt track rail race car from the 1950’s in the style of the M&E Wasp.

This is period desk top modelling at its best, with an aluminium chassis and sheet aluminium body.

The Racing Green paintwork is in excellent condition sporting blank racing roundels, a dummy side exhaust and a lovely leather bonnet strap (replaced).

A hand carved wooden seat and a perspex windscreen complete the picture.

Track Rail Racing consisted of a number of raised rails forming a race track where cars, guided by the rails (see underside image of the car), would race against each other.
